SistaGirlz, when you leave the house for those summer parties, you are looking and feeling extra fly, right? You’re rockin’ your skin-tight Get Em Girl dress and your fabulous Manolo’s or Manolo-knock-offs and your looking for that sexy Mr. Right..Now. Fast forward 3 hrs and cosmos later, and you can barely make it out of the club! Pulling down the dress that mysteriously keeps giving your backside extra ventilation, and holding extra tight to the stair rail because the corn on your pink toe is starting to “set it off on the left”, you are officially through! Never fear ladies, a product is just about to save your from 5 inch pain!

Who likes shorts, shorts, … Sistagirlz like short shorts …
Maybe you do, but I don’t! All I can say is, a good short is hard to find. And the latest fashion trend are shorts that are highwaisted, very short and have large cuffs. Not every body shape can fit into the hottest shorts. It’s summer, so wearing jeans and sweats will get you too hot! So, I will try to help my fellow sistagirlz get the right shorts to look vicious.
Shorts-
Think of them as pants. When you try on pants they have to fit your hips and waist. When you try jeans you make sure your butt looks good in them. So, do they same thing with shorts.
Wide thighs-
If you have wider thighs look for a short that doesn’t hold so much on your butt. If you have a little stomach don’t make the shorts give you a “muffin top.” Make sure you have a flat front that goes higher on the waist and NO CUFFS!
Don’t be too short!!
Make sure your shorts are no higher than mid-thigh and not lower than you knee. Sometimes a slightly shorter short does show of your curves and makes you legs look good.
Short legs-
Get shorts with a shorter rise and high waistband. This will trick people and it will seem like your legs look long!
Long legs -
Get a low waistband but not to low, so others can’t see your underwear.
Always make sure your shorts are proportional to your body.
Now that you know, go out there and look vicious
The Flat Belly Diet!

Where have I been? People are dropping pounds and they didn’t invite me to join in on the fun! Haters! LOL! No, really, I’ve found out about the results of The Flat Belly Diet and I’m impressed. Folks are allegedy losing the weight via plan which features MUFAs at every meal. If you’re like me then you’re wondering, what in the LLCOOJ is a MUFA? Well, let me break it down for you! MUFAs are Mono-Unsaturated Fatty Acids, found in foods like olives, avocados and dark chocolate. The book, written by Liz Vaccariello, editor in chief of Prevention, along with Cynthia Sass, MPH, RD, nutrition director at Prevention, has been topping best-seller lists since it debuted late last year.
“Research shows that MUFAs have health benefits and target belly fat. They also help control satiety, so by adding in one MUFA at meals and snacks it is easier to stick with the plan and lose belly fat,” explains co-author Sass.
Though there is a lot of hype around the results of the diet, some experts say it’s all in the caloric intake. While The Flat Belly Diet doesn’t focus on calorie counting, critics of the plan say it’s a souped 1600 calorie Mediterranean style eating plan. Either way, I’m sure folks are just happy to be dropping pounds healthily!
Check out a sample menu from The Flat Belly Diet:
Breakfast: Apple almond oatmeal
Lunch: Pesto ham and cheese sandwich on whole-grain English muffin with lettuce & tomato and 1 cup grape tomatoes
Dinner: 3 oz grilled salmon steak with 2 tablespoons almonds, 1 1/2 cup green beans
Snack: 1/4 cup hummus with 2 tablespoons pine nuts and 1 cup red pepper strips
It sounds do-able. I also like the sound of their “Sassy Water”. It’s made of spices, herbs,cucumbers and citrus and helps stop bloating. Hmm. Want to do a Flat Belly Challenge! Leave a comment if you are ready to drop those pounds!

Okay, maybe the title was a little corny, but at least it got your attention! Forgive me if I am sharing old news, but it bears repeating!! Luxury designer Jimmy Choo has inked a deal with discount retailer H&M, and will showcase new shoes,handbag and clothing set to hit the store this fall! Oooh! I am sooo excited! In my own personal fashion tastes, Jimmy Choo is classic, yet funky. Buying your first pair of Choos should be a coming of age ritual.
As a matter of fact, I told my sister that when she gets her first check from her salaried job, she must buy a pair of Jimmy Choo shoes. They’re an investment! Heck, it’s a safer bet than the stock market these days! LOL!
For those of you who are not into H&M, you might want to think again. The German retailer has had deals with fashion icons such as Karl Lagerfeld and Matthew Williamanson, all at affordable prices! Okay, why do I sound like an advertisement? LOL! Step your shoe game up for real with H&M! Yes, that me. The first one in line come Nov.14th.
