Its prom and wedding season and there are things to consider when it comes to the “right hairstyle”. You have to consider the right hair products, what looks right and how you sleep and still look fly the next day. What is highly recommended is a test run. What I mean by that is get your hair done before the event to see how you like it. The one thing you don’t want to do is pick a style and not like it, then you’re stuck. If you don’t want to spend the money getting your hair done twice, have a friend that knows a little about hair try it. Then you would at least get a feel of how the style would look. It’s like learning what works through trial and error. If you don’t like the style, you can always pick something else.stlye4bun

As for weddings, I find that most women try to keep it simple. For example, take the traditional bun. It’s easy to maintain and doesn’t take long to do. Some women even do it themselves. Then you have the “flashy dos”.  The hair is high or either too much. Hey if you like it, I love it. You also have the hair do’s with the different colors. Once again, if you like it, I love it. Some colors are ok such as blonde, reds, oranges. Now if you walk around with pink, green, blue, purple, I don’t know what to tell you. Some people think they’re starting a fashion trend with extreme colors, when in reality it looks stupid; especially if you have not taken the time to freshen and oil your hair. Hot mess!! Some people try to copy celeb hairstyles and fail to realize that the hairstyle is only for that event and will be taken out when the event is over. If you look at stars like Beyonce and Tyra Banks, you can see they switch styles often.   It’s ok to copy a hair that was seen on the stars, just make sure it fits your overall look.   In the end, you really want a style that compliments who you are, SistaGirlz!  So ladies, prom and wedding are a special time for you. Make sure you go all out and don’t overdo it.

Give me some feedback on the styles I thought were hot for the season!
